Provide a brief, lay description of the work undertaken/initiative.

A brief layout of the work that was done was a very constant cycle of research, prototyping, and then user testing and back to prototyping. With each user test, we got closer to the final design.

Working on this project showcased huge learning curves filled with ups and downs, but also a lot of growth and lessons learned. One of the biggest challenges was juggling everything at once and meeting deadlines, especially managing my time between research, designing, and assembling everything. There were moments when things didn’t go as planned, such as when the prototypes were not built the way I imagined them to be. Whether it was technical issues, limited resources, or just the stress of a tight deadline, those moments taught me how to adapt and think creatively under pressure.

What is the expected impact this project will have on the community?

The expected impact this project will have on the community is the goal to close the market gap and to provide trauma paraplegics with something that is specifically designed for them.
