Description:

The Cloud Architecture and Security Program is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of cloud computing and security, equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills required for success in these critical domains. Students not only learn to proficiently design, implement, and manage resilient cloud computing environments but also gain expertise in enhancing data security, deploying robust measures, and safeguarding data confidentiality, integrity, and availability in cloud settings.

Additionally, students develop resource management skills for efficient cloud application deployment and scaling. The program prioritizes the development of network security expertise and fosters a commitment to compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Ultimately, it prepares students for rewarding careers in the rapidly evolving field of cloud technology and security, effectively bridging the skill gap among IT practitioners and enabling them to tackle real- world security challenges confidently.
 

This is an undergraduate, limited intake program starting in Fall 2024. CCAS course fees are assessed according to Tuition Category 2.a.9 for Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents, or Tuition Category 8.a for International Students.

Admission Requirements

In addition to the Faculty's Admission Requirements, which consist of KPU's undergraduate English Proficiency Requirement, the following program admission requirements apply:

  • Satisfy the Math requirement at Level E1 of the Mathematics Alternatives Table 
  • Successful completion of a recognized diploma in the discipline of information technology, computer science, or computer engineering within the last 10 years from the term of admission. 

Applicants who have not completed a recognized diploma but have a minimum of 5 years of related information technology work experience within the last 10 years may also be considered for admission to this program. A detailed resume including the names of the organizations, dates of employment, responsibilities/duties, along with professional references suited to speak to the related work experience will be required to make an admission decision.
