Institutionalization of Disability: Hope Is Not A Plan
Kwantlen Polytechnic University, the Department of Sociology, and The Centre for Global & Multicentric Education is hosting a presentation of the documentary, Hope is Not A Plan, directed by Colin Andrew Ford, Urban Sherpa Films at Kwantlen, Surrey Campus. This film documents Paul Caune, director of Civil Rights Now, a non-profit organization fighting for the civil rights of people with disabilities in British Columbia. This film explores institutionalization of people with disabilities and will be followed by a panel discussion including Paul Caune and Tim Stainton, director of Centre for Inclusion and Citizenship (UBC).
