As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape the world our students are growing up in, educators have a powerful opportunity to guide them in understanding, questioning, and using these tools responsibly. This professional development workshop demystifies AI and equips teachers with practical, classroom-ready strategies to integrate AI thoughtfully—regardless of subject area or grade level. In this highly interactive six-hour workshop, K–12 educators will build the skills and confidence needed to bring AI into their teaching practice.

This workshop is offered on two separate dates; participants only need to attend one session to complete the full six-hour workshop: May 1 or May 15.

Professional Development Credit

This workshop may be eligible toward Professional Development (PD) hours, depending on district and school policies. The six-hour structured format, including guided instruction and practical application, aligns with professional learning expectations outlined by the British Columbia Teachers' Federation and many local school districts. Participants may request a certificate of completion to submit to their school or district for PD recognition. Teachers are encouraged to confirm specific eligibility requirements with their administrator or local PD committee to ensure the hours can be applied toward their annual professional growth goals.
