Workshop

Open Lab provides registered participants with independent access to designated apparel and production labs within the School of Design’s shared maker space environment. This offering is designed for students and community members who already have experience working in studio settings and are ready to advance their own projects using professional grade equipment.

Participants will have access to a range of apparel and production equipment during scheduled Open Lab hours. For production and sewing spaces, participants are expected to bring their own tools and materials.

All participants must successfully complete the required Lab Safety Training prior to accessing the space. A Lab Technician will be on site during Open Lab hours to answer general questions and provide equipment refreshers as needed.

Previous experience using industrial sewing and production equipment is required. Open Labs are not instructional and are intended for independent, self-directed work.
