Whether you are registered in one course, in the Associate of Arts degree, or in the BA Major or Minor program, welcome to Asian Studies.
Asian Studies is a multi-disciplinary program drawing on fields like anthropology, cultural studies, history, religious studies, and sociology. Students can choose an area focus - South Asia or East Asia - or a thematic focus, such as cinema, religion, diaspora studies, gender, or ethnicity. As students in the program explore critical issues of cultural and social diversity in both Asia and the many Asian communities throughout the world, they develop effective cultural, research, writing and oral skills -- skills which can help you succeed in your chosen career path.
