Melville School of Business Bachelor's Degree Bursary
What is available?
- 15 bursaries of up to $750 per term ($250 per 3-credit course) up to two years, or a maximum of $4,500 over two program years, or, until completion of program, whichever comes first.
- A program year consists of FALL, SPRING and SUMMER terms
Who are eligible?
- Domestic students who are declared in to one of Melville School of Business' five degree (Bachelor's) programs;
- Registered in a minimum of 9 credits;
- In good academic standing, and,
- With demonstrable financial need
What (or when?) is the application period?
Application will remain open until all 15 bursary slots are filled
How to apply?
Eligible students may apply online at the beginning of FALL term. Application opens on the first day of FALL term and closes on the last day of adding/dropping courses.
What is the selection process?
- Applications will be evaluated in the order received.
- The first 15 applications (three for each degree program) that meet all criteria will be the recipients of the bursary.
How to maintain the bursary?
Students selected MUST meet the following requirements to continue receiving the bursary every term for up to two years:
- remain in their declared program
- be registered in full-time course load (minimum 9 credits for regular students) every term
- must pass all their courses
Melville School of Business Post-Baccalaureate Diploma Entrance Award
What is available?
- 9 awards of $3,600 per student.
- Award is available in two disbursements of $1,800 per term, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria
Who are eligible?
- (Domestic) KPU alumni who are returning to KPU for Post-Baccalaureate studies.
- Will be back for full-time studies (at least 9 credits) in one of three post-bac programs:
- Post-Baccalaureate Accounting
- Post-Baccalaureate Human Resources Management
- Post-Baccalaureate Operations and Supply Chain Management
- With demonstrable financial need.
How to apply?
There is no need to apply. Eligible students will be identified during the admissions process.
What is the selection process?
- Applications will be evaluated in the order received.
- The first 15 applications (three bursary slots for each degree program) that meet all criteria will be the recipients of the bursary.
How to receive the award?
- The award will be credited to student's account as a tuition credit before fee deadline.
How to maintain the award?
Students selected MUST meet the following requirements to receive the other half of the award ($1,800) on their second term
- be registered in full-time course load (minimum 9 credits for regular students) every term
- must pass all their courses
