Bachelor's Degree Bursary

If you have declared to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program and entering your third or fourth year of study, or you’ve completed a business diploma and are continuing your path toward a BBA, we’re here to help you cross the finish line.
The Bachelor Degree Bursary is designed to support students in the final years of their degree, when balancing the demands of school, work and life can become especially challenging. Awarded based on financial need and full-time enrolment, the bursary provides up to 50% of tuition, to a maximum of $2,250 per year, for up to two years.
Be sure to declare your program by the early deadline for fall to be eligible
Applicants can apply online from August 16th – September 15th
What is available?
- 15 bursaries of up to $750 per term ($250 per 3-credit course) up to two years, or a maximum of $4,500 over two program years, or, until completion of program, whichever comes first
- A program year consists of FALL, SPRING and SUMMER terms
Who are eligible?
- Must be declared into one of Melville School of Business degrees (BBA or BTECH) programs;
- Domestic student
- 60+ credits completed;
- Registered in a minimum of 9 credits;
- In good academic standing, and,
- With demonstrable financial need
How to apply?
- Applicants can apply online from August 16 – Sept 15, 2026
What is the selection process?
- Applications will be evaluated in the order received
The first 15 applications (3 from each degree program) that meet all criteria will be the recipients of the bursary
How to receive the award?
The award will be credited to student’s account as a tuition credit prior to the fee payment deadline
How to maintain the bursary?
Students selected MUST meet the following requirements to continue receiving the bursary every term for up to two years:
- Remain in their declared program
- Be registered in a full-time course load (min 9 credits) every term
- Must pass all their courses

To recognize and invest in the success of our alumni, Melville is offering a Post Baccalaureate Alumni Bursary to help make your continued education more affordable.
Eligible alumni can receive 50% tuition support, whether studying full time or part-time. Funding is provided at $600 per course credit, to a maximum of $3,600 over the duration of the program.

- 9 awards of $3,600 per student
- Funding will be provided at a rate of $600 per 3 credit course, to a maximum of 9 credits ($1800) per academic term, for a total maximum benefit of $3,600 throughout the program
Who are eligible?
- KPU alumni wo are returning to KPU for Post-Baccalaureate studies
- Domestic student
- Who are accepted and registered in one of the three Post-Baccalaureate programs:
- Post-Bac ACCT
- Post-Bac HRMT
- Post-Bac OSCM

- No application process. Eligible students will be identified prior to the start of the classes

- The award will be credited to student’s account, based on number of credits registered, as a tuition credit prior to the fee payment deadline

- Must pass all their courses
Melville School of Business Scholarship Fund for Post Baccalaureate Students
What is available?
12 x $4000 (4 x ACCT; 4 x HRMT; 4 x OSCM) In the scenario where there are not 4 eligible students for each program, can redistribute to one of the other 3 Post-Baccalaureate programs
Who is eligible?
- Students who are accepted to any of our 3 Post-Baccalaureate Diplomas
- Domestic Student
Registered for classes in their first term
How to apply?
No application process. Eligible students will be identified on an on-going basis with a deadline of the last Friday prior to the start of the classes
What is the selection process?
The first 12 admitted domestic students (4 per program) that meet all criteria will be the recipients of the scholarship
How to receive the scholarship?
The award will be credited to student’s account as a tuition credit, based on number of credits registered, prior to the fee payment deadline
How to maintain the scholarship?
- Continue to be registered in every term
- Must pass all their courses
