Job Description
We’re looking for a motivated and passionate Brewery Production Worker / Assistant Brewer to join our small, dedicated brewing team at Poco Brothers Brewing. This hands-on position involves assisting in brewing operations, cellar work, packaging, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, a passion for great beer, and a willingness to take on a wide range of responsibilities. Minimum 1 year of experience in a brewery or related production environment preferred. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Physically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and maneuvering 70 kg kegs Able to stand and perform manual tasks for extended periods Flexibility to work weekdays and occasional weekends as needed Forklift Operator License (or willingness to obtain) Understanding of brewing processes, chemicals, and hazards Willingness to work hard and learn within a small team A passion for craft beer and commitment to quality Work Environment: Casual dress code Small team dynamic Fast-paced, physically demanding production setting Emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and quality
Duties & Responsibilities:
Brewing & Cellaring Support: Assist in preparing ingredients and materials for brewing
Dry hopping and transferring beer from fermenters to brite tanks
Carbonating beer and conducting basic QA/QC checks
Harvesting yeast and maintaining yeast health
Cleaning fermenters and brite tanks (CIP/SIP procedures)
Understanding and following chemical safety and brewery sanitation protocols
Packaging Operations
Operate and assist on the canning line Wash and fill kegs
Operate and maintain packaging equipment
Organize and clean warehouse and cooler spaces
Adhere to packaging and storage SOPs Logistics & Maintenance
Move kegs from the brewery cold room to the bar cold room
Operate a forklift safely (license required or willingness to obtain)
Perform light equipment maintenance and assembly
General cleaning and sanitation throughout the facility
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Knowledge in brewing (Entry or Intermediate)
Minimum 1 year of experience in a brewery or related production environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Physically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and maneuvering 70 kg kegs in a daily basis
Able to stand and perform manual tasks for extended periods
Flexibility to work weekdays and occasional weekends as needed Forklift Operator License (or willingness to obtain)
Understanding of brewing processes, chemicals, and hazards
Willingness to work hard and learn within a small team
A passion for craft beer and commitment to quality

Pay Range: $21/Hourly
