Local Canning is looking to add another member to our talented team of Mobile Canning line Operators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent Local Canning
Ensuring our standards for customer experience, product quality, seam integrity, and sanitization of the machines are upheld
Work as a team to set up, operate, and tear down the canning line as well as all the peripheral devices as required (e.g. depalletizer, date coder, labeller, etc)
Complete consistent can seam test correctly to ensure the specifications of the product ordered Operate machinery to the highest level of quality control consistently
Maintain site cleanliness and leave the site in better condition than when you arrived
Record and report production data for constant improvements in methodology
Complete inventory checks and ensure all materials are packed and prepared for each day’s run.
Drive the company vehicle safely and respectfully if required
Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment upon returning to the warehouse, ensuring the canning line is operating at the best level of performance possible.
Work in the warehouse to prepare materials as needed, keep track of inventory, and document to ensure consistent inventory procedures
Maintain a clean workplace, inside and out

High attention to detail and ability to follow company SOP’s
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull heavy (and sometimes awkward) canning equipment, stand for long periods
Flexibility to to work longer hours when necessary
Basic Understanding of Beverage packaging Procedures, Carbonation, cleaning procedures, and other important factors affecting canning success
Valid Drivers license and clean driving abstract
Experience and interest in operating & maintaining machinery and equipment (beverage canning equipment a plus)
Experience in warehousing, organizing, & distributing consumer goods an asset
Experience driving a 5-tonne truck and possession of a clean driving abstract an asset
Experience/Certification operating a forklift an asset
Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment an asset
Pay Range: $18-$25 per hour
