Interested in becoming a TALK Volunteer?

Here are some of the volunteer opportunities TALK has to offer:

  • Join the Board and/or the Program Committee and/or the Marketing Committee
  • Become a course facilitator (organizer)
  • Become a course presenter (speaker)
  • Introduce a Philosophers’ Corner topic
  • Be part of a dynamic organization that makes a difference in the lives of seniors

TALK volunteers can:

  • Help plan courses
  • Suggest topic ideas
  • Identify speakers/presenters
  • Recruit new members
  • Help organize special events
  • Help promote TALK
  • Help guide the organization into its second 25 years!

Perks of becoming a TALK volunteer:

  • Get a preview of what courses are coming up
  • Courses you are organizing/facilitating are free for you and you are provided with a parking pass if they are on campus
  • Increases your community involvement
  • Keeps you active and fights boredom
  • Helps you make new friends
  • Gives you a sense of accomplishment
