Maureen Lee holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Simon Fraser University. She comes to KPU with over 30 years of experience of teaching and leading in K- 12 public schools as a teacher, counsellor and administrator. Maureen’s most recent role was as District Principal of Inclusive Education in West Vancouver. She also teaches masters level counselling courses for CityU and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in private practice. Maureen’s interests include inclusive education, social-emotional learning, restorative justice in education, and mental health promotion, prevention, and intervention. She works with schools and community to increase knowledge, awareness, and practices that improve the well-being and inclusion of all members of society. Maureen is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) North and West Vancouver Branch.
