Experiential Learning

A KPU Arts student in General Studies can explore experiential learning opportunities where they'll gain hands-on experience in humanities, social sciences and fine artsStudents completing a degree in General Studies can choose arts departments which offer experiential learning. These departments can contribute to the academic disciplines within the degree requirements.

Departments with experiential learning include:

  • Counselling
  • Criminology
  • English
  • Fine Arts
  • Geography
  • Journalism
  • Language and cultures
  • Music
  • Policy studies
  • Psychology
  • Sociology

 Students can also obtain experiential learning in other Faculties at KPU including:

  • Faculty of Business
  • Faculty of Design
  • Faculty of Science

The General Studies degree allows students to seek experiential learning in different Departments and Faculties. Students can make an appointment with an Academic Advisor to explore disciplines with experiential learning to understand how these courses fit within their degree requirements.
