Hello, My name is Natashia.
I am a proud member of the Stswecem'c Xgat'tem (Canoe Creek/Dog Creek First Nation) and currently serve as the Indigenous Counsellor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. In my role, I work alongside the counselling faculty and Indigenous Services to provide mental health support to KPU students. This includes one-on-one counselling, group therapy, interactive workshops, talking circles, and community engagement at the Gathering Place on the Surrey campus (Maple Building).
I also hold drop-in hours in Room 160 on Tuesdays from 1 pm to 3 pm, alongside Seanna Takacs from Accessibility Services. These drop-ins are a great opportunity to connect and ask any questions related to mental health and learning needs.
I look forward to meeting you for individual counselling, or in one of my groups or workshops. Additionally, please feel free to visit the Gathering Place on Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm to engage with others in our communal space. We offer a variety of activities to foster connection and well-being.
Sincerely,
Natashia
