If you have little or no prior knowledge of Mandarin, this is the right level course for you. You will learn the basic pronunciations of standard Mandarin and the use of Pinyin, the alphabetic rendition of Chinese characters. You will also learn to share information about yourself and your family, discuss hobbies and daily activities and ask basic questions of those around you so as to function properly in everyday settings. The linguistic and communicative focus of the course is complemented with insights into Chinese culture and etiquettes.

Hola! If you have plans to visit Spain or Latin America, whether it is for pleasure or business, or if you are just looking to brush up on your Spanish without the hassle of boring grammar lessons, KPU has the right course for you. You will learn basic vocabulary that will enable you to interact with native speakers at social events, on vacation time, while doing business or simply when ordering one or more cervezas. This course includes all materials distributed in class and requires no previous knowledge of Spanish.
