Whether you dream of having a thriving home garden, deepening your connection to the land, or simply learning to grow real food with real skills—this is your year.

No prerequisites. No prior farm experience needed. Just bring your passion, curiosity, and commitment—and we’ll grow the rest together.

Whichever path you choose—online or on the land—you’ll gain the knowledge, confidence, and community to help you grow.

 

📍 IN-PERSON PROGRAM at Garden City Land, Richmond, BC

  • Duration: mid-March – early November, 2026
  • Schedule:  Saturdays in-person (10 am - 3:30 pm) and supplemented with online sessions on Tuesday evenings (6:30 pm -8:30 pm, PST)
  • Total program fee: $5,500 (plus 5% GST)
  • Non-refundable deposit: $500 (plus 5% GST) - due upon acceptance to the program
  • Remaining $5,000 balance:  Pay in full or choose an installment plan
  • Buddy Registration Option 🤝: Learning is more fun together. Register with a spouse, family member, a close friend, or a farming partner at one single fee rate. Both individuals will share a single participant plot under this option. This is only applicable to the In-Person Program. If you wish to register with a partner at the single fee rate, please clearly indicate this in your application.
  • It is up to every participant to ensure they have appropriate clothing, including steel-toed shoes. All tools will be provided.

 

🌐 ONLINE PROGRAM - Learn from Anywhere  ✨NEW in 2026

  • Get the same expert instruction, supportive community, and essential knowledge—delivered entirely online
  • Duration: mid-March – early November, 2026
  • Schedule:  Tuesday evenings (6:30 pm -8:30 pm, Vancouver Time, PST)
  • Limited spots - only 20 spots are available in 2026
  • Total online program fee: $1,850 (plus 5% GST)

  • Non-refundable deposit: $250 (plus 5% GST) - due upon acceptance to the program

Casual Interview

  • Applicants will be invited for a casual chat from November to early March. We simply want to know more about you and make sure that you are well prepared to start this amazing farming journey. 

 

Acceptance

  • Rolling acceptance until all spots are filled.
  • Non-refundable deposit due upon acceptance: $500 for in-person program, $250 for online program (plus 5% GST) - taken off from the total program fees
  • The remainder of the program fees is due mid-April (Payment Plans can be arranged)
