Special Media Invitation: Kwantlen Polytechnic University Conference on Tolerance and Intolerance, Difference and Indifference


Organized by Criminology faculty members Jessie Horner and Hisham Ramadan, this two-day conference will examine the state of tolerance in Canada.

The conference will bring scholars, community experts, and activists from different disciplines, different communities, and different countries together to explore the meaning and limits of tolerance and the construction of difference. Special attention will be given to the demonization of religious groups, the war on drugs, and groups of people living at the edges of tolerance and indifference.

Media is welcome to attend for both days, one day, or to drop in for individual sessions.
