How do I cancel my monthly permit?
You can cancel your monthly permit online through your Concord Parking account by setting an end date on the permit.
Cancellations must be completed before the 20th of the month to avoid being charged for the following month. Monthly permits cancelled on or after the 20th will be charged in full and are non-refundable.
Semester and annual permits do not renew automatically and are non-refundable in part or in whole.
What happens if campus parking is full?
Parking on KPU campuses is first-come, first-served. Purchasing an e-Permit does not guarantee a parking stall on any campus. If parking on campus is not available, you will need to find alternate parking.
The Intercampus Shuttle is available between KPU Surrey, KPU Tech, and KPU Langley as an alternative. Limited service is also available between KPU Surrey and KPU Richmond. Check the latest campus shuttle schedule for more information.
How do I change the license plate for my e-Permit?
You can update your license plate(s) in your Concord Parking account under account settings. You can also contact Concord Parking Support. Multiple plates can be registered to a single account.
How do I dispute a parking violation ticket?
To dispute a violation ticket, visit the Concord Parking violations page. Additional information is also printed on the back of your violation ticket.
How do I get a refund on my parking permit?
All KPU long-term parking permits (monthly, semester, and annual) are non-refundable. KPU does not offer partial or prorated refunds for the unused portions or days of any active permit.
- Semester & Annual Permits: These are non-refundable in part or in whole.
- Monthly Permits: Cancelling a monthly permit online before the 20th of the month stops the automatic renewal and prevents charges for the following month. It does not refund the current month. Cancellations made on or after the 20th will incur full charges for the following month.
- Double Payments: If you accidentally paid twice for the same parking period, email parking@kpu.ca with your license plate number and account email to request a correction.
How do I pay for parking?
Long-term permits (monthly, semester, and annual) are purchased online through your Concord Parking account.
Hourly and daily parking can be purchased via PayByPhone, SMRTpass, or at any campus pay station using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or coins ($0.25, $1.00, and $2.00 only).
Are parking permits valid on all campuses?
Daily, monthly, semester, and annual permits are valid at KPU Surrey, KPU Richmond, KPU Langley, and KPU Tech. Permits are not valid at Civic Plaza.

You can view your permit expiry date in your Concord Parking account under “End Date”. Permits are valid until 11:59 pm on the day they expire.
Do I need to display my parking receipt or permit on my dashboard?
No. KPU uses license plate recognition (LPR) enforcement. Your license plate is linked to your payment in the system, so there is nothing to print, display, or hang on your mirror.
Do SPARC (accessible parking) permit holders need to purchase a parking permit?
No. Students, staff, and visitors with a valid SPARC accessible parking permit do not need to purchase a parking permit, provided they are parked in a designated accessible stall. If parked in any other stall, a regular parking permit must be purchased.
