Association of Registered Nurses of British Columbia

The Association of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (ARNBC) is the professional association representing Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in British Columbia. The ARNBC was launched in May 2010 and incorporated under the B.C. Society Act in July 2010. The Association has adopted three broad strategic directions to guide their work: 1) Engage effectively with RNs and NPs in B.C. 2) Advocate for evidence informed policies to promote the health and healthcare of British Columbians 3) Develop and sustain professional development services for all RNs and NPs in B.C.  https://www.arnbc.ca/

The Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) is a federation of 11 provincial and territorial nurses' associations and colleges representing {C}139,893 registered nurses and nurse practitioners. College of Registered Nurses of BC (CRNBC)

Under provincial legislation (Health Professions Act), CRNBC's legal obligation is to protect the public through the regulation of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and licensed graduate nurses, setting standards of practice, assessing nursing education programs in B.C., and addressing complaints about CRNBC registrants. College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of BC (CRPNBC)

The College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC) is the regulatory body for all registered psychiatric nurses in the province. Everyone wishing to practice as a "registered psychiatric nurse (RPN)" in British Columbia must be a member of the College. http://www.crpnbc.ca
