Co-op Opportunities

The KPU Co-op TeamCo-operative Education (Co-op) at KPU lets you combine academic learning with paid, full-time work experience. Whether you're exploring your career path or ready to gain hands-on industry skills, Co-op bridges the classroom with the workplace, so you graduate with more than just a credential. As a Co-op student, you alternate between terms in class and full-time work terms with an employer. These experiences give you the chance to apply your classroom knowledge in meaningful ways, build confidence, and graduate with a résumé full of relevant experience.

Practicum Opportunities

KPU's Arts Practicum introduces students to various workplaces in their communities and to degree-relevant entry-level work through a placement with a host organization. The Practicum is for senior students with a declared Major or Minor in Asian Studies, English, Geography, History, Journalism, Philosophy, or Policy Studies.

The Fall 2025 Practicum embraces a guiding theme: Evolve. The workplace environment is always changing.

Field School Opportunities

Field Schools are amazing opportunities that involve you travelling with a group of fellow students to another country and then studying a topic there in depth. It's also a great chance to see if you'd like to take part in longer exchange programs! When you're in a Field School, you study outside of the traditional classroom setting with a group of other students. Beyond academic training, it's also a chance for you to receive hands-on experience in another culture and/or environment.
