Welcome to Co-operative Education!

KPU is about experiential learning—where thought meets action. Apply for a Co-op program to alternate between study and paid work semesters, using your course knowledge and skills on the job. KPU Co-operative Education programs have received accreditation from Co-operative Education and Work Integrated Learning (CEWIL). This accreditation provides national recognition and an affirmation that our Co-op programs comply with standards and guidelines. Maintaining accreditation criteria helps build quality into existing Co-op programs and provides a benchmark for setting up new Co-op programs.

The Career Development Centre on the Surrey campus collaborates with successful businesses to create exciting work experiences for you in your field of choice. Not only will you earn a competitive wage and gain practical experience, you’ll be able to explore various roles within your chosen industry. Co-operative education options are currently available in a variety of programs—from accounting and criminology to entrepreneurial leadership and environmental protection. You’ll also hone the much sought-after “soft skills,” networking, and job search techniques that will help you land your dream position. Register for an info session to find out more.
