HOLIDAY CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT
Season's Greetings from KPU!
As the festive season approaches, we wish to inform you that all of KPU, including the Career Development Centre, will be closed for the holidays from Saturday, December 23, 2022, through Tuesday, January 2, 2024. We will reopen on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
For Employers: During our closure, we will not be available to post Co-op jobs or assist with scheduling interviews and placements. To ensure your positions are posted before the break, please submit them via Career Connection or email them to co-op@kpu.ca by Monday, December 18. Remember, students can apply for Spring 2024 Co-op jobs until December 22, 2023. We'll get back to any questions or emails within 1-3 business days after we return.
For Co-op Students: Please note your Co-op instructors and our office team won't be available to respond to inquiries or process interview requests, offers, and placements during the holiday break. We anticipate a high volume of inquiries upon our return, so responses may take 2-5 business days. In the meantime, our FAQs at kpu.ca/co-op/faqs/ are there for you 24/7!
Interviews During Closure: Employers may still conduct shortlisting and schedule interviews during the closure. If you are invited for an interview, remember to CC co-op@kpu.ca in your correspondence.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a fantastic start to the new year!
CO-OP VIRTUAL DROP-INS: Thursdays (12PM - 1PM PT)
Get your Co-op questions answered! Every Thursday, from 12pm-1pm, a representative from Co-op will be available to answer any questions you may have about the program.
Welcome to Co-operative Education!
KPU is about experiential learning—where thought meets action. Apply for a Co-op program to alternate between study and paid work semesters, using your course knowledge and skills on the job. KPU Co-operative Education programs have received accreditation from Co-operative Education and Work Integrated Learning (CEWIL)*. This accreditation provides national recognition and an affirmation that our Co-op programs comply with standards and guidelines. Maintaining accreditation criteria helps build quality into existing Co-op programs and provides a benchmark for setting up new Co-op programs.
