About Metro Vancouver

The lower mainland is a dynamic, multicultural area situated in a spectacular natural environment including snowcapped mountains and sparkling ocean waters. Metro Vancouver, where all four of Kwantlen's campuses reside, is comprised of 22 different municipalities. It has an area of 282,000 hectares and covers a distance of 96 km from Maple Ridge to Bowen Island. According to the 2006 census, the population of Metro Vancouver was 2.1 million and growing.
