Climate Change at KPU
KPU campuses are experiencing the impacts of climate change. These impacts have serious consequences on campus operations, asset management (including natural assets), and the health and well-being of the community. But there are ways to mitigate these impacts.
KPU’s Carbon Neutral Action Report shows our climate change mitigation efforts, in keeping with provincial commitments for a carbon-neutral public sector. In addition to this reporting, KPU is developing a low-carbon resilience plan. As a first step, a team of consultants and KPU staff developed a preliminary climate adaptation strategy for KPU Surrey, KPU Richmond, KPU Langley and KPU Tech.
