Welcome Week

In collaboration with the Kwantlen Student Association (KSA) and various departments at KPU, we will be offering free flexible programming and activities open to ALL First-Year KPU students taking classes in Fall 2025.

This event provides KPU students an opportunity to explore KPU's resources and services, connect with the KPU community, make new friends, develop new skills to succeed in your academic journey, have fun, and grab free swag!

Starting Fall 2025, COOP 1101: Introduction to Professional and Career Readiness course is open to all KPU students—even if you're not in a Co-op program. Learn how to build your resume, prep for interviews, and get job-ready with expert guidance.

Interested in joining the Co-op Program?
We'll also cover how you can gain paid work experience in your field through Co-op and the resources you can access through the program.

If you're not eligible to join Co-op—but still want to take advantage of the career preparation course (COOP 1101)—we still encourage you to attend! You'll learn how to register for the course and how it can benefit your academic and professional journey.

Drop-in to learn how to use our new Braille Printer! We encourage first time users or anyone interested in using the Braille Printer to come for a one-on-one demonstration of its use prior to independent use. The orientation should take about 15-30 minutes of your time, and we are happy to answer any questions you may have about its use.  Please ask at the Service Counter or Research Help Desk to begin your session. A librarian or library staff member will come and orient you to the station and answer any questions you may have.  The Braille Printer is located at Surrey Campus Library in the front collaborative zone across from the Service Counter. It is outside of our Special Collections room (A1040).  Visit kpu.ca/library/braille-printing for full service scope and process. No registration is needed to attend this drop-in event.
