Working Alone

The Working Alone System is a check-in, check-out system with campus Security.

Security Officers on Duty

To request Working Alone service, when security officers are on duty, contact the appropriate campus security office (see phone numbers below). A security officer on duty will request your name, location, phone number, when you plan to be at your location, and when you expect to leave. The officer will visit you, or call you while you are working alone. When you depart you are required to contact the security office and let them know that you are leaving. On departure, if you require such, arrangements can be made to accompany you to your vehicle.

Security Officers not on Duty

To request Working Alone service, when security officers are not on duty, contact Paladin Security’s 24-7 Dispatch telephone number 604-296-3131. Security dispatch will request your name, location, phone number, when you plan to be at your location, and when you expect to leave. Security Dispatch will call you while you are working alone. Please note when you depart you are required to contact the Paladin Security Dispatch and let them know that you are leaving. Failing to do so may result in additional costs to the university as a mobile officer will be dispatched to investigate.
