Understanding the reinstatement process

Students who have been required to withdraw for academic reasons may request their reinstatement to KPU for a term which begins at least six months after the student was initially required to withdraw. It is important to be aware that KPU has strict deadlines for reinstatement and students are cautioned to ensure they are aware of the timelines.

What are the Deadlines for Reinstatement?

The request for reinstatement must be submitted by the deadline for the semester you plan to return (see table below). Students should begin the reinstatement process early in their submission timeline as it will require an appointment with an academic advisor. (Two months prior to the submission deadline is recommended)

Students will also be required to re-apply to KPU as a separate (online) process.
