The Learning Garden is situated on the KPU Farm on the Garden City Lands in the heart of Richmond. The garden is designed to engage our community and provide all ages and capabilities the opportunity for experiential learning. Our focus is to create excitement about sustainable food production, ecosystem diversity and ecosystems services.
This garden is available for programs and organisation to host place-based learning for children, youth and adults.
This includes working with adults and seniors to build their garden knowledge and their relationship to the food system.
Our learning garden is planted with themes such as edible and cut flowers, companion planting, plant breeding and development, herbal tea garden, herbs, grain demonstration and more.
