Gowning Room
Ceremony card: In the gowning room, you will receive a ceremony card containing your graduation number and name. This card designates your position in the processional and how your name will be announced when crossing the stage. It is important that you keep your ceremony card safe and avoid crumpling or creasing it. If you lose it, please inform a staff member in a maroon gown immediately.
After gowning: Once you have received your regalia, proceed to the designated lineup area in the Convocation Hall, located in Maple Atrium, to assemble for the processional. Graduates must be in line 45 minutes before their ceremony begins.
Returning gowns: Please return your gown to the gowning room no later than one hour after the ceremony's conclusion.
Note: Only graduates are permitted in the gowning room.
Procession
Assembling for the procession: Forty-five minutes before the ceremony begins, all graduates will assemble in the Convocation Hall, located in Maple Atrium. The Marshal of Convocation will provide instructions for the processional.
Forming the processional lines: The processional lines will be formed, with each line led by a marshal to the Auditorium. Upon arrival, you will be directed to your assigned seat. Your position in the procession is determined by the order in which you will cross the stage, so it is essential to remain in your designated line and position.
After the ceremony: Graduates must remain in their seats until a marshal directs the formation of the recessional. A short reception with light refreshments will take place in Maple Atrium for family, guests, and graduates to celebrate with hugs and photos.
