Celebrate With Us
Convocation is the calling together of the KPU community to celebrate and honour our graduates. Convocation ceremonies at KPU take place each year in February and June at the Surrey campus. Graduates who attend the ceremony will receive a commemorative red KPU folder and are welcome to keep their cap and tassel. Participation in convocation is optional. All graduates receive their credential by mail.
To participate in convocation, all students must have their credentials awarded. During the graduation application process, students have the opportunity to indicate whether they will participate in convocation. Those who select 'Yes' will receive an email with further information. Those who previously selected 'No' or 'Undecided,' but have since decided to attend, must notify graduation@kpu.ca by the specified deadline.
Important Information
Convocation ceremony date & time: The specific date and time for each convocation ceremony will be determined approximately eight weeks in advance. Please note that graduates are not permitted to defer their convocation to a later date.
Once finalized, details will be published to the Convocation Schedule, and graduates will be notified shortly thereafter.
Multiple credentials: Those who are graduating with multiple credentials concurrently will participate only in the ceremony for their highest-level credential.
Accessibility & accommodations: Graduates requiring accommodations should contact Accessibility Services at access@kpu.ca as early as possible.
