Unofficial Transcripts
Student have access to unofficial transcripts through their Student Profile.
Note: Students may use an unofficial transcript for personal reference or initial applications. Official transcripts are required for institutional transfer, educational verification, or any situation needing a sealed or certified copy.
Accessing Your Transcript Online
To access your transcript online:
- Log into your Student Profile
- From the left-hand navigation menu, select Unofficial Transcript
- Select Transcript Level and set Transcript Type to "Unofficial Transcript"
Official Transcripts
An official transcript is a copy of the student’s permanent academic record that is imprinted with the signature of the Registrar. Transcripts reflect all courses taken or transferred to Kwantlen Polytechnic University; partial transcripts will not be issued. Completed credentials will only appear on a transcript once a student's graduation has been conferred by Senate.
Note: Students are encouraged to review the information in their unofficial transcripts prior to initiating a request for an official transcript, to ensure accuracy.
Ordering an Official Transcript
The form can also be accessed through your Student Profile. Students who are unable to log in should contact IT Service Desk for assistance.
Online requests are typically processed within 3–5 business days. Transcripts requested for pickup will be available within 5 business days.
Note(s):
- Students with a hold on their account are not eligible to order a transcript. For more information, see kpu.ca/registration/regdates.
- Student Records does not email official transcripts.
- If you have supplemental documentation to send with your transcripts, please email it to student.records@kpu.ca.
- If you have entered something in error, please contact student.records@kpu.ca. If the transcript has not yet been processed, a correction may be possible.
- Transcripts that are marked as "Hold for Grades" will be processed after all grades are submitted and academic standing is assigned for the current academic term. Students with an Incomplete ("I") grade may need to submit a new request once their final grade is submitted.
- Students will not receive an email notification when official transcripts are ready for pickup. Please wait 5 business days after submitting your request.
Ordering Transcripts for Ontario Universities
If you are applying to undergraduate admissions at any Ontario university, your official KPU transcript must be sent through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) electronic system. This is the standard process for all Ontario universities, and it ensures your transcript is delivered securely and correctly.
- Submit a separate transcript request for each Ontario institution you are applying to.
- If you're applying to more than one Ontario university, you must place one order per school.
- When placing your order, select:
- Delivery Method: Standard Delivery.
- Recipient: Choose the specific institution code for the university you want your transcript sent to.
- Do not select “OUAC” as the recipient.
- OUAC will receive the transcript from KPU electronically and forward it appropriately.
- KPU will send your transcript electronically to OUAC, and OUAC will deliver it to the institution you selected.
Important Note: If you are sending a transcript for a program outside general undergraduate admissions (e.g., graduate studies), the transcript cannot be sent through OUAC, and can only be sent by standard delivery mail.
Ordering Transcripts with Nursing Forms
If your official transcript must be sent with nursing-related forms (e.g., for CGFNS or other nursing regulatory bodies), please follow these steps:
- Order an official hardcopy transcript addressed to the nursing organization.
- Email any required nursing forms to student.records@kpu.ca after placing your transcript order. Be sure to include your full name and student ID in the email.
Our Student Records team will coordinate with the Faculty of Health to complete and send the forms along with your transcript. Ordering Transcripts with Nursing Forms.

Transcript Cost
- $10 per copy paid by credit card (Mastercard or Visa) through the online request form. Note: a 2.5% service fee will be charged.
- Students wishing to courier a transcript are responsible for making those arrangements.
- Fees paid for transcripts are non-refundable.
Transcript Destination Options
- A post-secondary institution (most institutions require transcripts to be sent directly from the issuing school).
- The mailing address we have on record for you.
- Another destination such as an agency, business or third person.
Note: KPU is not responsible for delayed or lost transcripts due to mail service.
Electronic Transfer Institutions
The following institutions can receive electronic transcripts from KPU. Electronic transfer is only available for Undergraduate Admissions at the following institutions.

Transcript Pick-Up
- Transcript pick-up is available at Student Enrolment Services on the Surrey Campus (see hours of operation).
- Transcripts will only be released upon presentation of government-issued photo identification by the individual picking up the transcript.
- To authorize another person to pick up your transcript, you must submit a Third Party Authorization Form to Student Enrolment Services or by email to studentinfo@kpu.ca from your KPU student email address.
- Please note that transcripts must be collected within 30 days of request submission. If not collected within this timeframe, a new order and payment will be required.
Courier Pick-Up Option for Transcripts
If you’d prefer to arrange your own courier to collect your official transcript from KPU, you may do so by following these steps:
- Submit a transcript request through your Student Profile, with the full name and address of the destination. Select the Surrey campus pick-up option.
- Your transcript will be held at the Student Enrolment Services front counter (Surrey campus, Maple building).
- Arrange a courier service of your choice to collect the transcript from the front counter. Provide them with your full name.
- Once the courier is scheduled, email student.records@kpu.ca from your KPU student email, including: the courier tracking barcode
