Colleen Spier is fulfilling her goal of becoming an attorney-at-law. Her long road to success is paved with a lot of hard work, determination and a fine balancing act between school and her family.
It all started at Kwantlen where the single mother decided to enrol in qualifying studies courses to get her high school diploma. Her modest plans soon morphed into an undergraduate degree in psychology and the ambition to achieve a lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer, thanks in part to the encouragement and support of two other motivated single mothers she befriended at Kwantlen.
Today, Spier has secured an articling job at a West Vancouver law firm specializing in aboriginal law and family legal issues.
