KPU Thrive Month 2021

Every year in October, KPU celebrates THRIVE, which is a series of events, workshops and activities that focus on supporting positive health and wellbeing for students, staff, and faculty.

This Fall, we know how uncertain or anxious you may be feeling as we begin to navigate this new normal that we’re currently living in. For some of you, you may be experiencing KPU and on campus life for the very first time over these next few months. Now more than ever, it’s crucial for us to make our health and wellbeing a priority, and what better way than by participating in fun and engaging activities that will provide you with tools to be resilient, make connections with other KPU students, and support your overall health and wellbeing.

This year’s theme is TRANSFORM, REVITALIZE, THRIVE. We want to TRANSFORM and change our mindsets to focus on how we can move forward into the future. We want to REVITALIZE and breathe new life into hobbies, passions and connections that we find meaningful, so we can THRIVE, and be our best selves and flourish as a KPU community.

Check out the full event schedule below to browse the different sessions and select what you may be interested in. Some sessions may require pre-registration so please read all of the details.

Thrive Month Events - COMING SOON!

To join a THRIVE event, click on the link beside the event. It will either take you directly to a Microsoft Teams or Zoom meeting, or to the department’s website where more information about the event can be accessed.

Use the MS Teams App or your web browser to join the session. If you have MS Teams or Zoom already installed on your computer or mobile device, you may join directly through the application. If not, you may join using a web browser such as Chrome, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. The larger the screen, the easier it will be to see the event/workshop.

Before joining the session, remember to mute your microphones. You can choose whether or not to turn on your web camera. The facilitator of the event will let you know when/if you should turn your microphone back on.

Keep in mind some important etiquette for virtual events and workshops! Respect the privacy of others and do not record any sessions. Use the chat box for any comments, questions or concerns, and contact the department who is offering the event if you have any issues joining.
