Convocation is the calling together of the KPU community to celebrate and honour our graduates.
Convocation ceremonies are held annually in June and October. Graduates that participate in convocation receive a commemorative medal in addition to their credential. To be eligible to participate in convocation students must:
- complete all KPU courses and program requirements no later than the semester preceding the convocation ceremony
- have any transfer courses that are needed to meet program requirements assessed no later than the semester preceding the convocation ceremony
- apply to graduate and attend convocation no later than the deadline
For further information about applying to graduate, see kpu.ca/graduation
Due to the ongoing restrictions on large gatherings as part of British Columbia’s COVID-19 response, KPU is arranging a virtual Convocation ceremony for June 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. to honour all students who will have graduated by May 2021.
These are unprecedented times and as we continue to heed the advice of our public health officials, we do not know when we will once again be gathering together in large numbers, therefore students are not able to defer their Convocation attendance to a potential future in-person ceremony.
All eligible graduates will be mailed a Convocation celebration box in June containing the graduation mementos they would have received at an in-person ceremony. Upon Senate conferral of your credential, all graduates will be mailed their parchment separately.

Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you must change your mailing address after you have made your application to graduate.
We look forward to celebrating your achievements in June.
