About Us

At KPU, the Academic Integrity Unit is housed in the Office of the Provost, but each Faculty also plays an important role.

  • The role of the Academic Integrity Unit includes developing resources to support students and faculty around academic integrity, advising and offering consultations on misconduct cases, and providing leadership on the academic integrity strategy at KPU.
  • Each Faculty's Dean's Office manages academic misconduct cases and administers KPU's Student Academic Integrity Policy and Procedure (ST2).

    About

I am a passionate and dedicated HR professional with several years of experience in the Human Resources field. I am an international student currently pursuing a Post-Baccalaureate in Human Resources Management.  I would describe myself as energetic, optimistic, curious, sincere, organized, communicative, and task-oriented.

What interests you about your role?

I value transparency and honesty, which is why I am thrilled to join the Academic Integrity team. As a current student, I strongly believe that integrity is fundamental to making sure students really acquire the knowledge they are investing in.

  • Sehajpreet Kaur
    Academic Integrity
    Student Ambassador

    About

I am a third year Human Resource Management student at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. I came to Canada as an international student, and I feel that academic integrity plays a vital role at KPU and I want to encourage students to learn more about Academic Integrity. I know school can be hard and I am here to help you succeed in your studies.

What interests you about your role?

I chose this role to help my fellow mates who are struggling and unaware of the term Academic Integrity. I would love to talk to you if you have any concerns or questions and about Academic Integrity and policies and procedures.

  • Ikjyot Rehal
    Academic Integrity
    Liaison

    About

I am alumna of KPU and went to SFU to complete MEd in Counselling Psychology. I have also worked at KPU in the learning center and advising office. I have been passionate to create systems in post-secondary settings that support student wellbeing in a wholistic way.

What interests you about your role?
Coming back to KPU and giving back to the community was one of the motivating factors to accept this role. Supporting students and faculty to create a shared understanding around academic integrity is one the key areas that caught my interest.

  • Anna Robinson
    Manager of
    Academic Integrity

    About

I have worked at KPU since 2016 in various roles. I have a BA in Cultural Anthropology, a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language, and I am currently working on my Masters in Educational Studies in Higher Education. My role is to provide leadership, advice, strategic direction and planning, and to oversee academic integrity support at KPU.

What interests you about your role?

I am especially interested in learning about Indigenous perspectives and ways to decolonize our approaches to academic integrity. I believe in approaching academic integrity from a balanced and holistic perspective, recognizing academic integrity as a shared responsibility that needs to be addressed both systemically and through immediate and shorter-term improvements. I love working collaboratively to support students, faculty, and staff at KPU.
