As KPU is disabling the use of SMS, email, security questions, and voice call methods for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) on June 24, 2025, this guide will instruct you on how to reset your password using the Microsoft Authenticator app or Hardware Token.
Here are the steps to reset your KPU password:

If your KPU email address isn’t pre-filled, enter it, complete the CAPTCHA, and click “Next”
If you are not using the app and have hardware token setup, go to Step 4.
Choose a verification method using your Microsoft Authenticator app:
- Select “Approve a notification on my authenticator app”, then click “Send Notification”. A two-digit code will appear on your computer screen — open the app on your phone and enter that number to approve the sign-in.
or
- Select “Enter a code from my authenticator app”, open the app, tap your account, enter the 6-digit code shown, and Click “Next”.
Token users need to press the button on their token, enter the 6-digit verification code displayed, and click “Next”.
Create and confirm your new password, and Click “Finish” to complete the password reset process.
