TGP - The GREEN PROGRAM

Program dates

Programs run during Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks and usually last 7–10 days, allowing students to choose a session that fits their schedule.

Example 2026 dates (Iceland program):

  • Jan 4–10, 2026 (Winter)

  • Mar 15–21, 2026 (Spring)

  • May 17–23, 2026 (Summer)

  • Aug 2–8, 2026 (Summer)

What:

  • A verified certificate from The GREEN Program upon completion of the program

  • Opportunity to work on real-world sustainability challenges and projects

  • Hands-on learning with industry experts and global faculty

  • Exposure to global sustainability initiatives and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  • Opportunity to build a global network of sustainability professionals and alumni

  • Cultural immersion activities and industry site visits

  • Development of skills in sustainability, policy, environmental management, and innovation

  • Sustainability research and analysis

  • Environmental policy and climate initiatives

  • Renewable energy systems and clean technology

  • Community sustainability and resilience projects

  • Capstone projects focused on solving real environmental challenges

Where:

  • Programs take place in various locations around the world, including:

    • Iceland

    • Peru

    • Nepal

    • Japan

    • Senegal

  • Many programs also include online coursework before travel.

Credits:

NONE. This is a non-academic study program.  

Cost:

  • Most programs cost $3,900–$4,600 USD (about $5,300–$6,300 CAD)

  • Includes housing, most meals, local transportation, industry visits, and program activities

  • Not included: flights, travel insurance, passport/visa fees

  • $500 deposit required to reserve a spot

  • Payment plans may be available

You are able to apply for funding and scholarship awards to cover these fees. Successful applicants were able to receive funding and participate with the full program fees covered.
