Welcome to the Faculty of Arts at Kwantlen Polytechnic University!
The Faculty of Arts provides courses and programs in disciplines from across the Humanities and Social Sciences. As the largest Faculty at KPU, we offer the widest and most diverse range of learning opportunities. Over the last few years, we’ve launched several new and exciting B.A. Major, Minor and Certificate programs. You’ll find out more about these as you pursue your studies at KPU. There are always new courses being offered, too, in every field.
You’ll be joining nearly 5000 undergraduate students in Arts who are studying with the over 300 faculty members who teach in our 21 academic departments and interdisciplinary programs. With our wide array of options, something is bound to pique your interest.
Whether you come to KPU to study towards a degree or to take a single course out of personal interest, you’ll quickly discover the practical value of an Arts education. We focus on developing well-rounded, creative and critical thinkers: graduates who can write persuasively, who can formulate arguments and defend their ideas in conversation, and who are socially engaged and responsible, with an awareness of contemporary and interconnected human issues. These are job-ready skills that every graduate needs and today’s Arts education provides. Whether your goal is a career in the professions, business, the non-profit sector, or the creative or performing arts, a KPU education in the Arts will set you on the path to success.
Over the years, our teaching faculty and our students have logged an amazing record of accomplishments and awards. I am very pleased that you have chosen to join us as an active citizen in the Faculty of Arts community at KPU. I’m confident you’ll find much to inspire you here and that you’ll inspire us as well.
