Robert ROBERT IRONSIDE

"Why Finance? Why Now?"

The world is becoming an increasingly complex and insecure place. Governments all over the world have made promises they will never be able to keep. Those who rely on government funded pensions for security in their retirement may well find that the benefits they thought they had fail to materialize when they most need them. To survive and prosper in the coming decades, I think each individual must take control of his/her own financial security, instead of outsourcing it to a disinterested third party, such as an employer or government. Studying finance will not only get you an awesome job today, it might also allow you to retire in the style you would like to become accustomed to.

Robert is currently a Faculty member at KPU teaching Finance. He has received six awards for excellence in teaching and has taught and delivered consultations across Europe, Asia, South America and South Africa. During his engagement in the Finance Industry, he has been the President and CEO of Learning Dividends, a corporate account manager at two of Canada's largest banks, and was the co-founder and Director of Primeline Capital Corp.
