1. Toyo University, Japan - OPEN

• What: The program includes intensive Japanese language for absolute beginners and culture classes. Participants will have the chance to learn with Toyo University Japanese students in interactive classes. Plus, we've got a field trip to Mt. Fuji with Toyo students lined up for students to understand its environmental issues and SDGs better. Learn more about this program on their YouTube page here.
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is April 26, 2024. Toyo Universities deadline is June 15th 2024.
• When: August 19th to 31st, 2024 
• Where: In-person at Toyo University in Japan
• Who: This is for students who are absolute beginners in Japanese and want to learn more about the language and culture. For more course info, click here.
• Cost: Participation fee after discount is 203,00 yen (approx. $1820 CAD).

2. HUFS Summer School, South Korea - OPEN

• What: In-person International Summer School in South Korea. More details can be found here. The following courses have been assessed: Korean Cinema: An International Success (3 credits) for KPU's LANC 1xxx (3 credits) and Korean Popular Culture and Media (3 credits) for KPU's LANC 1xxx (3 credits). • Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is April 26, 2024. HUFS deadline is April 30th.
• When: July 11 - August 9, 2024. 
• Where: In-person summer school through HUFS, South Korea.
• Who: This is for all students interested in Korean and Asian studies or Business in Asia. 
• Cost: Total tuition fees is approx. 1500 USD. There is a 25% discount for nominated students in the cost. For more information click here.

3. Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK - OPEN

• What: In-person Summer School with 19 courses. More details can be found on their website here and in this brochure here.

• Who: This is open to all students wanting an international experience in the UK. List of courses are here.
• Cost: £1,200 (English Garden Design and Smart Agriculture and Future Crops - £1,510). You would also need to pay for travel, accommodation, and personal expenses. 

4. ICT Summer School at Metropolia, Finland - OPEN 

• What: the list of courses and more can be found on the website. All the courses are taught in English and are mostly in person.
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is April 26, 2024. or June 15, 2024.
• When: August 5-23, 2024
• Where: It is held at Metropolia Myyrmaki campus in the city of Vantaa, Finland close to the capital of Helsinki where the airport is located. 
• Who: This is for students wanting an international experience in Finland and are interested in information and communication technologies. 
• Cost: No tuition when nominated from KPU. You just need to pay for travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.

• What: FPT Summer Camp Program opens up a Summer paradise for students to enjoy unique cultural experiences as well as develop interpersonal skills. Program components are expertly curated to create a well-rounded journey for all international participants. to learn more here.

2. Spanish for Health Professions, Chile - OPEN

• What: The Spanish for Health Professions program provides a unique experience for students to learn about Chile’s Healthcare system, and learn Spanish focused on practical health related terms.

3. Spanish Academic Program for Foreigners, Mexico - OPEN

• What: This is designed for students who need to learn or master the Spanish language.

• Who: For all KPU students

4. Semiconductors to Sneakers: Marketing Strategies From Taiwan's Industry Leaders, Taiwan  - OPEN

• What: This intensive two-week course is the first of its kind. Students will study the marketing strategies and methods Taiwanese firms have used to take leading industry roles. Taiwanese firms, despite having low brand recognition amongst global consumers, have become leaders and key players in their respective industries and global value chains.

5. CCSA Summer Program, Thailand - OPEN

• What: CSSA Summer Program exposes students to the international and multicultural learning and knowledge exchange system at AIT, and also to the culture and practices in Thailand with experiential learning on technological advancements and practical application of the technologies in the current agricultural practices, such as smart farming, IoT use in agriculture, sustainable agriculture practices, and self-sufficient agriculture.

6. Entrepreneurship Program, Vietnam - OPEN

• What: learn to bring small Japanese handicrafts to international customers, learn to share your culture to international peers! Students will be able to learn and create a product from start to sales, interact with real customers, while learning Vietnamese culture.

7. Discovery camp in Indonesia, UMAP - OPEN

• What: This program will focus on preserving marine habitats with the theme "Protecting Marine Biodiversity". Through AIRVENTURE, participants are expected to be able to observe and explore the protection, preservation, management and restoration of biodiversity as natural resources that should be taking care for.

8. Study Abroad Program, Thailand - OPEN

• What: The program has specially been designed for non-Thai participants to join; Projected based practical English usage, Activity based Thai language and culture studies, Cross cultural adventure, Thai Cultural Exploration and Corporate Visit, Volunteer project & Community Service, with Orientation & Certificate Awarding.

9. ADARM Summer Program, Thailand - OPEN

• What: ADARM Summer Program exposes students to the international and multicultural learning and knowledge exchange system at AIT, and also to the culture and practices in Thailand with experiential learning on sustainable aquaculture production and aquatic resources management including innovation and advancements of the sector in South and Southeast Asian Countries.

• What: In-person International Summer School. More details can be found on their website here.
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is February 27th. 
• When: Depending upon the course between 29th July - 31st August, 2024. Check here.
• Where: In-person through the VIA University College in Denmark in their Viborg and Aarhus C campuses.
• Who: This is for students in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Health, Animation, Construction, and Crowd sourcing  For in-depth details, see here.

2. Munich University of Applied Sciences, Germany - Closed

• What: In-person International Summer School for Engineering students. More details can be found here. The program is intended for advanced undergraduate students in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is February 27th 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline of March 23rd, 2024. 
• When: July 8th - August 9th, 2024.
• Where: In person through the Munich University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany with excursions to Bavarian lake, Olympic memorials and beer garden. 
• Who: This is for students in Engineering programs wanting an international experience in Germany.  
• Cost: The program fee of €1,890 covers: tuition for the German Language and Culture class, two subject courses, the official cultural and social program, free internet access at the university and a welcome package. For students from partner universities, the fee is reduced to €1,750. Accommodation charges are €1,200 per person for 34 nights in a triple or quad bedroom. Please find details about the housing and options on their website.

3. University for the Creative Arts, UK -  Closed

• What: In-person International Summer School. More details can be found here. 
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is February 27th. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline. 
• When: July 7th - July 20th or July 28th - August 10th
• Where: In person through the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, England with free Heathrow airport pick-up and excursions near London. 
• Who: For anyone interested in art, design, multimedia film production, graphic design, fashion textiles, architecture, interior design, and creative studies. 
• Cost: £2,400 (Early bird: £2,250) The costs include accommodation (catered), the academic program, materials, and weekly excursions. There will be optional extra excursions available for students that will be explained upon arrival.  

4. University of Guanajuato, Mexico - Closed

• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is February 27th. 
• When: Depending upon the course between 20th June - 1st August, 2024. Check here.
• Where: In-person through the Guanajuato University in Guanajuato, Mexico.
• Who: This is for students in Art, Sciences, Law, Engineering, Economics.
• Cost: No tuition when nominated from KPU. You just need to pay for travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.

5.  Mackenzie Presbyterian University, Brazil - CLOSED

• What: Program taught in English for science students revolving around Water Management, Sustainability and Pollution.
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is January 29th 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University
• When: May 2nd - June 21st 
• Where: In Person at the University of Mackenzie in São Paulo
• Who: This is for students interested in understanding the environmental, social and technical impacts of pollution and treatment.
• Cost: No tuition when nominated from KPU. You just need to pay for travel, accommodation, and personal expenses. 

6. Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences, Germany - CLOSED

• What: In-person International Summer School for Engineering students. The program is intended for advanced undergraduate students in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. More details are on the website here and in the  pamphlet here .
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is January 29th 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline of January 31st, 2024. 
• When: July 25th - August 18th, 2024.
• Where: In person through the Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences in Giessen
• Who: This is for students in Engineering programs wanting an international experience in Germany.  
• Cost:  No tuition when nominated from KPU. You just need to pay a small participation fee, for transportation, accommodation, and personal expenses. 

7. Toulouse Business School (TBS), France & Spain or Slovenia - Closed

• What: In-person International Summer School. More details can be found on their website here and their brochure here.
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is April 9, 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline of April 15, 2024.
• When: For 6 weeks or opt out and just stay for 3 weeks.
• Where: Toulouse, France from June 12 - June 30th, 2024 then travel through the French Pyrenees to Spain to continue the program in Barcelona from July 3 - July 21, 2024
• Who: ALL PROGRAMS. Courses are mainly in business with some related to Design.

8. Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Japan  - Closed

• What: Unique opportunity to learn Japanese language, history and culture with lectures in Japanese Language, Society and culture, and Buddhism. Participants will explore the country's past and present through excursions to locations in Kyoto and the Kansai Region. More details are in their flyer here and wesbite here. 
• Application: The deadline to apply through KPU is April 9, 2024. Successful applicants will then be nominated to apply to the University by their deadline of April 14, 2024.
• When: July 1 - 13, 2024.
• Where: Kyoto and the Kansai "quintessential" region of Japan.

• Cost: 200,000 JPY (conversion rates to Canadian may change and this would be around $1,800.00 CA). Accommodation and field trips are included. Personal expenses, transportation to Japan and back, and other fees are not included. See program information for details.
