Senate Standing Committee on Research

• Institutional policies and procedures related to research
• Research aspects of university-level strategic planning
• Establishment, revision, or discontinuance of research centres and institutes
• The research environment, infrastructure, and other issues of importance to research at the University
• Research components of any proposal research-based graduate programs
• Integration of undergraduate research into curricula, via the Research Advancement Strategy (RAS) on research recommendations
• To meet or consult with other Senate committees as required
• Other duties as assigned by Senate

• One faculty senator or representative from each Faculty/School
• Associate Vice-President, Indigenous Leadership or designate
• Associate Vice-President, Research or designate
• Associate Vice-President, Teaching and Learning or designate
• Two deans or designates
• Director of a Research Institute / Centre

* An upper-level undergraduate or graduate student

Non-voting Members

• Vice-Chair of Senate
• Director, Office of Research Services or designate
