Mandate
Advise Senate on academic matters related to research at the University including:
- Institutional policies and procedures related research
- Research aspects of university-level strategic planning
- Establishment, revision, or discontinuance of research centres and institutes
- The research environment, infrastructure, and other issues of importance to research at the University
- Research components of any proposal research-based graduate programs
- Integration of undergraduate research into curricula, via the Research Advancement Strategy (RAS) on research recommendations
- To meet or consult with other Senate committees as required
- Other duties as assigned by Senate
