Who Studies at KPU?

A KPU student is someone who wants more out of their post-secondary education. They don't want to be confined by a lecture hall or textbook. They want to be applying the skills they've learned to real-world situations to gain the experience they know employers look for.

Whether your child has a eye for design, a head for business, or a desire to help others, they can pursue a wide range of disciplines at KPU. From the social sciences to laboratory science to farrier science, KPU offers academic and trades programs, including preparatory, vocational, undergraduate and graduate, that they won't find at a traditional university.

So who are KPU students? They're passionate, curious, and want a university that will help them find a rewarding career.

Investing in Your Child

We want you to have all the information about the cost of your child's post-secondary education, before they begin. KPU's tuition rates are affordable and competitive with other post-secondary institutions.

Our online tuition estimator can help you calculate the approximate costs for their specific situation and provides a full breakdown of fees. Tuition and student fees are calculated based on their specific program and courses, and how many classes (or credits) they’re taking each term.

While a post-secondary education is an investment in your child and their future, it shouldn't break the bank.

We’re proud to offer a range of scholarships, awards, bursaries, and financial assistance to all students studying at KPU. We offer almost $2 million in scholarships annually, with $265,000 set aside for new KPU students.

We’re also proud to be the first institution in Canada to offer courses with zero textbook costs, providing an alternative to buying expensive books every semester.

Your child can also earn while they learn through co-operative education. Co-op is a paid-work experience that allows students to get a taste of their profession before they graduate, while making valuable industry connections, and discovering the wealth of possibilities ahead. Why wait to start a career?
