Distance Learners Library Services

KPU students are eligible for distance learner library services if:

  • Currently enrolled in an online course through KPU and
  • Unable to come to a KPU campus because they are living outside of Metro Vancouver.


Apply for Distance Learner Services

Email with:

  • Your first & last name
  • Student number
  • KPU email address


KPU Card

You can come to any library Service Counter with government issued photo id with current address to get a KPU Card.

If you can't come to us, we'll send you a KPU Card by mail.

  • First we'll confirm your eligibility for Distance Learner Services.
  • If you want your picture on the card, email a photo and a scanned copy of government issued photo identification to Photo specifications are here.
  • Otherwise, we'll mail you a KPU Card with no photo.


Distance Learner Library Services

Library services are the same as for other students with a couple of exceptions:



All Library notices are emailed to your KPU email account. Check regularly for information on your holds, overdues & recalls.


Students Registered with BC Campus

BC Campus students receive library services from the institution through which they are taking online courses.
