Physics (PHYS)

Students are expected to meet all course prerequisites and co-requisites as listed below. Waivers may be requested if you can clearly demonstrate that you have the equivalent skills and knowledge. Students are responsible for completing the "Permission to Register" form and presenting it to the appropriate person, listed below, for signature.

Prerequisites or Co-requisite waivers for Physics, Astronomy, Engineering or Applied Science courses can be obtained by contacting the instructor for the course.

If the instructor is not available, or is noted as TBA, please contact the Department Chair or designate at physics@kwantlen.ca.

 

PHYS 1100 Introductory Physics (Cr: 4)

Prerequisites: Strongly recommended: PHYQ 1098 or ABEP 0011 or PHYP 1101 or Principles of Physics 11 or Applications of Physics 12
Corequisites: MATH 1112
Note: No corequisite is required if a student has completed Principles of Math 12 with a C

Prerequisites: PHYS 1120 or 1101 Corequisites: MATH 1220 or 1230 Note: Students who intend to go on in the physical or applied sciences must take MATH 1220 to ensure transfer credit.
