Japan Field School 2012

LEARN, EXPLORE, BE INSPIRED

Learn Japanese culture and be inspired by the beauty and splendour of ancient and modern Japan as you visit historical sites and major tourist attractions while earning credit towards your degree. Also get a local’s perspective as you explore Japan with Japanese students from Kwantlen’s partner institutions in Nagoya, Kyoto, and Tokyo.

Schedule:
Classes at Kwantlen: May 7- May 17
Depart for Japan: May 18
Return to Vancouver: June 11

Price:
The program fee is $2700 and includes accommodation and field trips. This does not include your flight, tuition, meals, in-country transportation, and personal expenses.

Classes Offered:
Classes are instructed by a Kwantlen Faculty member. Students can enrol in CUST 1200, CUST 3XXX, FINA 1100, and/or FINA 1110. The pre-requisite for students wishing to take CUST 3XXX is CUST 1200.

Highlights:
Visiting places that are significant socially, culturally, and historically; meeting Japanese students to explore each city together; getting a maximum of 9 credits.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of application. This deposit will go toward your program fee.
