What is a Co-op position?

Employment for students that provides them learning opportunities in their fields of study:

  • Accounting
  • Human Resources Management
  • Entrepreneurial Leadership
  • Marketing Management
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Information Systems
  • Environmental Protection Technology
  • Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM)
  • Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)
  • Public Relations

How many hours per week can they work?

Students must not work more than 35 hours per week and must complete a minimum of 420 hours for each full time work term.

What are the total number of hours they can work?

Minimum 420 hours

What is the duration of the position?

January - April

May - August

September - December

What are the criteria for students?

Students must be from a recognized Co-operative Education Program.

What is the wage?

Base Rate: the minimum wage as set by the Province of British Columbia
With one (1) year post-secondary: Base Rate plus 8% 
With a post-secondary degree or diploma: Base Rate plus 21%
Plus:
Health and Welfare - 50¢ per hour
Vacation at 4% of regular earnings
