This workshop will help you to write and improving your learning portfolio. You will learn about reflection, how to craft and evaluate your reflective writing, and effective strategies for integrating course concepts.

In this peer-led workshop you will learn the basic features of PebblePad, how to access assignments set up in PebblePad and how to share your completed work with your instructors. You will also learn how to create a portfolio.

Attention barriers can interfere with learning at every stage. In fact, classic studies have shown that immediately after listening, students are likely to recall only half of what was said. This is partly due to particular listening challenges such as divided attention and distractions, the tendency to shut out the message, the inclination to rush to judgment, difficulties processing auditory information or individual learning differences. To create a positive listening environment in both your mind and your surroundings, explore how to manage these challenges.

We all learn from experiences, so let’s learn how to be better at it! In this workshop, we will discuss strategies you can use to learn from your prior quizzes, tests or midterms. You will learn the skills you need to help you identify what worked and didn’t work, how you addressed the questions, and most importantly what you can do while studying to improve for next time.
