Do I have to pay for BorderPass?

Newly admitted international students will receive free access to BorderPass for their programs at KPU. Current international students may be required to pay certain fees depending on their immigration application, including required government fees such as biometrics and IRCC processing fees. Fee details will be available once they log into their BorderPass account.

Both new and current students will have free access to judicial review if their visa is denied, provided the initial application was submitted through BorderPass.

My study permit application got denied, can BorderPass help?

Yes! If your initial study permit application was through BorderPass, KPU will cover the judicial review fee. If not, you'll be responsible for the fee, which is charged by BorderPass and may vary by case.

Can I opt out?

Yes, you can stop using BorderPass at any time. Please note that opting out will remove access to legal guidance, document tracking, reminders, Express Entry support, and other key services.

How does BorderPass help track my immigration journey?

You’ll receive a step-by-step overview of where you are in your immigration process. The system sends reminders, stores your documents securely, and shows you what’s next through your personalized BorderPass dashboard. More information is available in the BorderPass Knowledge Base.

Can BorderPass guarantee my application will be approved?

No. While BorderPass ensures your application is professionally prepared and reviewed by licensed lawyers, only IRCC can make the final decision.
