Compass Card
What is a Compass Card?
A Compass Card is a convenient, reloadable smart card that allows you to travel across all 3 transit zones in the Greater Vancouver area. It covers seabus, skytrain and bus.
Please note: The West Coast Express is not included in the Compass Card coverage.

How to use my Compass Card
- Tap in and out whenever you use your Compass Card, except when riding the bus.
- Fare inspections: Always carry your Compass Card as fare inspections can happen at any time.
- Keep your card safe: If you lose your Compass Card, make sure to register it so you can freeze the balance. You can register it here.
Travelling outside of Metro Vancouver
If you are planning a trip to Victoria, BC please note that TransLink only covers Greater Vancouver. For Victoria, BC Transit manages the transit system and you cannot use your Compass Card there.
