Canadian Visa Requirements
Before arriving in Canada, all participants must ensure they have the appropriate visa for their stay, if applicable. It is important to complete this process well in advance to avoid any travel disruptions.
Do You Need a Visa?
Depending on your nationality and the length of your stay, you may require a visa to enter Canada. We highly recommend that you check the official Canada IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) website to confirm if you need a visa for your visit.
Steps to Obtain Your Visa
- Check the IRCC Website: Visit the IRCC website to determine if you require a visa. The website will provide you with all the necessary information on the application process.
- Complete the Application Process: If you need a visa, please ensure that you complete the application process before traveling to Canada.
- Letter of Confirmation/Acceptance from KPU: Once you are accepted into the short-term program, KPU’s Global Partnerships team will provide a Letter of Confirmation/Acceptance to support your visa application. This letter is an essential document for your visa process.
Requesting the Letter of Confirmation
If you have been accepted to a short-term program at KPU and have not yet received your Letter of Confirmation/Acceptance from KPU, please contact us at shorttermkpu@kpu.ca as soon as possible. We will be happy to provide this letter to support your visa application. Be sure to reach out well in advance to allow sufficient time for processing.
