What Is the ELAP Faculty Mobility Program?

The Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program aims to increase the number of institutional collaborations and student exchange agreements between Canadian and non-Canadian institutions eligible under the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP). These agreements are created between colleges, technical or vocational institutions and universities in Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. The ELAP (Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program) Faculty Mobility program is a grant opportunity made available by Global Affairs Canada for Canadian faculty. It provides Canadian faculty with short-term (3-8 week) opportunities to teach or conduct research in Latin America and the Caribbean at the college, undergraduate, and graduate levels.

Applications to the ELAP Faculty Mobility Program can’t be submitted by faculty directly—a Canadian post-secondary institution must apply on behalf of the candidate. At KPU, this process is overseen by the Office of Global Engagement. If you are interested in applying for the ELAP Faculty Mobility program, get in touch with the Office of Global Engagement for a consultation.

Full details regarding this opportunity can be found on the ELAP Faculty Mobility Program page.
