Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) and International Language Academy (ILAC) have officialized an articulation agreement granting students the ability to enter KPU's undergraduate level of study once they have completed ILAC's pathway program. Beginning in Fall 2017, those who wish to enter KPU through ILAC's Pathway program will be able to by successfully completing level PW 3.3 of ILAC's Program. The articulation agreement comprehends three levels of English upgrading classes as follows:

Completion of Pathway 2.2 is equivalent to the completion of ELST 0181/0183 with a grade of ‘B-’ and therefore allows entry into ELST 0281/0283.
|Completion of Pathway 3.1 is equivalent to the completion of ELST 0181/0183 with a grade of ‘B-’ and therefore allows entry into ELST 0281/0283.
Completion of Pathway 3.2 is equivalent to the completion of ELST 0281/0283 with a grade of ‘B-’ and therefore allows entry into ELST 0381/0383.
Completion of Pathway 3.3 is equivalent to the completion of ELST 0381/0383 with a grade of ‘B’ and therefore allows direct entry into undergraduate studies at KPU.
ILAC's University Pathway program focus is placed on writing and researching, providing the knowledge and skills for students to write essays up to 1,500 words. Additionally, students learn reading and note-taking strategies for academic lectures, sophisticated grammar, advanced vocabulary, and precise pronunciation techniques are emphasized to increase speaking skills. ILAC’s University Pathway program prepares students for Canada’s challenging higher education standards. Students will learn the academic skills necessary to study at a Canadian university or college. Upon successful completion of the University Pathway program, students will be able to enter directly into undergraduate studies at KPU without requiring English testing such as TOEFL or IELTS.
